Wines and Vintners
Ernst Triebaumer Wine Estate
Our wine estate is in the Lake Neusiedl-Hügelland wine-growing region in the free state of Rust. This world-famous wine community is on the west bank of Lake Neusiedl not far from the provincial capital, Eisenstadt.
The entire Old Town sphere of Rust is listed under a preservation order. The numerous, beautifully kept town houses from the 16th to the 19th century have Baroque and Renaissance facades.
The Romanesque and Gothic parts of the famous “Fischerkirche” are from the 12th to the 16th century periods.
The Triebaumers have resided as a Protestant family for 300 years in Rust. Vineyards have been owned through marriage to "Elisabeth Köllerin" since the first generation. The size of the business has been slowly but constantly extended during the course of many generations – currently 16 hectares.
Our most important principle is the healthy maintenance of the soil, an elementary prerequisite for harmonic and digestible wines.
Conscientious selection in the manual harvesting by our trained harvesting team brings us the pure product.
Temperature-controlled fermentation of the less than cloudy must, reductive aging band early bottle filling of the white wine; the generally organic malolactic fermentation and wooden-barrel aging carried out for red wines are the efficient cellar methods to produce wines of a regional- and typically vintage expression.
