Wines and Vintners
Feiler-Artinger Wine Estate
The Feiler-Artinger Winery has been accommodated for sixty years in a Rust town house originating from the 15th century.
“Deeply rooted in the Rust tradition and open to all that is new” is the attendant motto of our wine philosophy. A principle that Gustav Feiler, the wine estate founder, had followed. Hans Feiler, supported by his son Kurt who deepened his knowledge of cellars and wines in Bordeaux, has been the “winemaker” since 1965.
Modern techniques have long been introduced into the vaulted cellars of our Baroque town house. After fermentation in temperature-controlled stainless-steel tanks, dry white wines are reductively matured and bottled after about five months. The "Cuvée Gustav", which has been offered since the 1993 vintage, is fermented in barrels and after about six months bottled directly from the lees.
