Wines and Vintners
Zahel Wine Estate
Wine from Vienna
Vienna is a metropolis of wine – from the historic meaning of wine to considerable areas of vines and the number of businesses. Viennese wine has gained new importance in recent years. And that is due to the young, engaged vintners, among whom we count not least since the “Viennese Vintner of the Year” award in 2000.
We have been dedicated to the family tradition of wine growing since 1900. The Vienna Woods, the Danube and the warm air from the Pannonian region, as well as differing types of soil, ensure a diversity of varieties. Elegant Riesling, fruity Pinots and powerful red wines, such as St. Laurent or “Antares” – the red giant, offer their invitation.
The flying butterfly on our logo is a symbol for natural, gentle wine production.
